Residents of Pumwani in Kilifi County reject settlement scheme

Residents of Pumwani village in Magarini Constituency, Kilifi County, have rejected a proposal to establish a settlement scheme in the area, saying it would disadvantage families who have lived there for generations. The residents urged the national and county governments to sub-divide the land through adjudication, claiming that the settlement scheme was a ploy to defraud them.
