Philippines earthquake: What dangers should communities look out for?

A powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck southern Philippines on Monday (Jun 8) morning, killing at least three people and triggering tsunami warnings across the region. Images circulating online show a shopping centre with a Jollibee fast food restaurant collapsing in General Santo City, but local police confirmed that several buildings have collapsed. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr has directed all government agencies to act immediately.
