Madlanga Commission | New witness to testify: Ayanda Nyathi updates

A new witness is expected to take the stand at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry. The commission's evidence leader will be Adv. Thabang Pooe.

On Wednesday, the commission heard testimony from Warrant Officer Steve Phakula.

The testimony was related to the Aeroton drug bust, which took place in Johannesburg in 2021, where a 715-kilogramme cocaine consignment was intercepted by police.

Evidence before the Commission has suggested that the first officers on the scene did not have the necessary crime scene management skills required for such an operation.
