Russia launches mass drone attacks across Ukraine after ceasefire ends

Russia has launched hundreds of drones across Ukraine, striking energy infrastructure and civilian areas in the west of the country. The attacks, which began Tuesday night and continued through Wednesday, killed and injured a number of people. The assault came just a day after a US-brokered ceasefire expired. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his country remains committed to diplomacy and hopes US President Donald Trump will convince China to pressure Moscow to end the war.
