Madlanga Commission | New witness expected to take stand

The Madlanga Commission continues this morning with evidence relating to the Aeroton drug bust, as a new witness is expected to take the stand.
The witness will be Warrant Officer Boy Steve Phakula, attached to the SAPS National Intervention Unit.
The drug bust took place in Johannesburg in 2021, where a 715-kilogram cocaine consignment was intercepted by police.
Evidence before the Commission has suggested that the first officers on the scene did not possess the necessary crime scene management skills required for such an operation.
