Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan on Tuesday (May 12) expressed “deep appreciation” to more than 150 Indonesian search and rescue personnel who put themselves at risk in efforts to locate two Singaporean hikers who died in the Mount Dukono eruption.
“This kind of instinctive looking out for one another … truly reflects the closeness of hearts between Indonesians and Singaporeans,” he said.
Dr Balakrishnan was on a three-day visit to Jakarta, where he met his Indonesian counterpart. https://cna.asia/4u9727B
