Western Cape schools to reopen on Wednesday

Western Cape education authorities say schools across the province are expected to reopen tomorrow, after being closed today due to severe weather conditions.

The department says schools unable to reopen due to infrastructure damage, or access problems caused by the storms, will need to apply for closure permission on a case-by-case basis.

Several roads and mountain passes remain closed, while some communities, including Citrusdal, are still cut off by flooding and inaccessible routes.
