UK, France co-host multinational meeting on restoring traffic in Strait of Hormuz

The UK and France are co-hosting a multinational meeting of defence ministers, to try to restore trade flows through the Strait of Hormuz. More than 40 nations are expected to join the virtual gathering. The meeting comes at a time when ceasefire negotiations between US and Iran have reached a standstill and restrictions on passage along the waterway squeeze global energy supplies.
