2026 Africa Travel Indaba | Tourism and employment - CEO of NEF Mziwabantu Dayimani

President Cyril Ramaphosa has described Tourism as the major economic contributor in the continent. Ramaphosa has officially opened the 2026 Africa Travel Indaba in Durban today. The Indaba is one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar, showcasing the widest variety of the continent's best tourism products. For more on the Indaba we cross live to SABC News Reporter Jayed Paulse, who is speaking to the CEO of NEF, Mziwabantu Dayimani. The quarterly labour force survey revealed that the official unemployment rate increased by 1.3%, rising from 31.4% in the last quarter of 2025 to 32.7% in the first quarter of this year.
