Severe Cape Weather | 40 000 residents affected in Cape Town floods

Disaster risk management officials in Cape Town say flooding has been reported in at least 26 informal areas around the city, after severe rainfall lashed the Mother City.
It says over 10 700 structures have been affected, with more than 40 000 residents impacted.
Provincial authorities have confirmed that three people have died in weather-related incidents.

Numerous roads, including the N1 highway between Worcester and Cape Town, remain closed due to rockfalls and mudslides.

In the Cederberg region, a flood warning has been issued with more than 100 people evacuated from the Riverview informal settlement.
