Since first arriving in China in 1984, Brian Linden has built a bond with the country that now spans more than four decades. For over 20 years, he has been rooted in Xizhou, a historic town in southwest China's Yunnan Province. Drawn by Eastern culture, he arrived as an outsider but gradually became a dedicated rural builder.
Though he has traveled to more than 120 countries, Linden ultimately chose to settle in China's rural southwest. What inspired him to stay, and what China story does he hope to share with the world? Follow Linden's journey as we explore his life in rural China.
