Billionaire tycoon, populist politician and at one time, the owner of Ivy League club, Manchester United. Thailand’s former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has held many titles, but now he's added the title of ‘ex-con’.

After eight months behind bars after being convicted of corruption and abuse of power charges, Thaksin was released on parole.
