Stormy weather conditions in Cape Town have have killed one motorist, and left another injured, in separate incidents.

Gale force winds uprooted trees which fell on their vehicles.

Heavy rains and strong winds have been lashing the city since Sunday night, after a severe weather system made landfall.

Numerous informal settlements and roadways have been flooded, with power outages reported across the metro.
