Spain protests mass ‘touristification’ of Mallorca

Thousands of protesters filled the streets of Palma, the capital of Spain’s Balearic island of Mallorca to denounce mass tourism. Spain expects to welcome 100 million tourists this year, but locals say the surge is harming the environment and eroding their quality of life.
