On behalf of the Department of Fertilisers, this is to inform that as of the Kharif 2026 season, based on the fertiliser requirement assessed by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the current stock position is more than 51%, which is significantly higher than the usual requirement level that we typically maintain at around 33%. Therefore, the fertiliser stock position is comfortable.

The domestic fertiliser stock is comfortable, and the MRP of major fertilisers remains largely unchanged. After the crisis period, domestic production and imports of fertilisers have reached 76.78 LMT, while imports stand at 19.94 LMT.
