*The MK Party is intensifying preparations for the November local government elections, by confirming its leadership slate for six metros.
MKP Secretary General, Sibonelo Nomvalo, says this will sharpen the party's electoral strategy, and strengthen its presence in key urban centres.

*Judgment has been reserved in the bail application for suspended EMPD Deputy Chief, Julius Mkhwanazi.
Mkhwanazi has appeared in the Germiston Magistrate's Court, alongside alleged kingpin, Vusimuzi Matlala, and Ekurhuleni fleet manager, Chris Steyn.

*The three ANC members who were killed in Knysna in the Western Cape last week, are being laid to rest at the weekend.
The funeral for former Knysna Mayor, and Ward 8 Councillor, Aubrey Tsengwa, takes place tomorrow, and that of former Ward 7 Councillor, Mandla Matiwane, on Sunday.

*The case of five people accused of dealing in drugs has been postponed to the 10th of September for profiling and possible bail application at the Musina Magistrate's Court in Limpopo.
The accused include two Mexicans and three Zimbabweans.
