Lesotho Ombudsman raises alarm over deteriorating prison conditions

Lesotho's Ombudsman, AdvocateTlotliso Polaki has released a scathing follow-up report, decrying troubling pattern of systemic neglect over the past three years since the publication of a previous report.

The Ombudsman says 70 of the 97 recommendations made for the Mohlomi Mental Health Facility remain unimplemented, while deteriorating infrastructure and inadequate nutritional programmes continue to plague correctional facilities across the country.
