Thailand, which is the world’s largest producer of rice, is facing severe fertiliser shortages and thus skyrocketing production costs.
Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has sought to secure fertiliser from regional suppliers such as China but his efforts have so far yielded no result.
