Only Gemini was able to generate it as an image, but it couldn’t produce the same UI as proper code (PNG export or actual frontend code).<br>Conclusion: AI still needs further development before it can fully replace a real designer.

Pencil is way more powerful. You can edit the pages. He can built super deep design system. The page are ready to code via MCP. You can have 6 AI Agents working at the same time on 6 different pages. Following the design system correctly.
I´ve been using it for a while, but right now it´s really frustrating. You ask for a page, you said you like it, now you want to for example design a modal on top of that page. The tool goes and redisings the whole background, even if you tell him to use the previous page. I need to iterate 5 times to get it done. It´s like he has a version on his context and completly ignores what I´m saying.
previous one was much batter. we can at least get designs and later make them consistent . now design system if forced and its very difficult to get good ui s .at least provide a way to use without a design system

This video got me thinking about the ParkRun website. I started Park Run just month ago and you log in to see your times. It's the same site across the world. It doesn't look special but it's incredibly effective and a pleasure to use. Contrast that with some of these beautiful sites that are annoyingly difficult to navigate to find what you are looking for. My take is that there is too much waffle in the world.
If I can be critical; that was a lot of work for a simple site, where 70-80% of the content didn't make the cut. Overall I don't feel Stitch is fulfilling it's promise, at least yet. Maybe the demo would've worked better with another topic.

I think there some issues with the video.<br><br>empathy comes first when you're defining what a brand is. that's the right tool for identity work. for informational content like schedules or logistics, layout-first is fine. <br><br>but the moment you're building a conversion page, let's say, registration, why join, sponsorship, etc., copy drives structure. define your goals, map the argumentative sequence, and build the layout around that hierarchy. <br><br>branding informs tone, not structure. putting layout before copy on those pages means design takes structural decisions before the argument exists. <br><br>you end up filling boxes instead of building a case.

its highly inconsistent. you create one page that you really like, and the next page would look totally different from the first one even though they both follow the design system.

I used stitch sometime back. only issue I find as of now while learning other things is inconsistency between components even if mentioned to only change a part of a ui design or create other page with the reference. example footer section of design a is good. lets make sure its the same for other and was mentioned with file selected. result, completely different design. that becomes a blocker then.
