Speaking in an interview with China Media Group, Nobel Prize-winning chemist Michael Levitt said his interdisciplinary way of thinking came from curiosity about different fields and argued that the boundaries between disciplines are largely historical. He believes advanced artificial intelligence (AI) systems will help break down those barriers, allowing people to quickly learn across subjects. Levitt also highlighted the close relationship between biology, culture and AI, saying that combining different forms of intelligence can bring forth entirely new perspectives for humanity.
