Limpopo bus crash survivors blame faulty brakes

Some survivors of the bus crash that occurred near the Witvlag turn-off on the N1 outside Louis Trichardt in Limpopo on Thursday evening allege that the crash was caused by brake failure.

They accuse the driver of continuing with the journey despite being aware of the mechanical problems. The bus was transporting 61 people from Malawi to Johannesburg and other parts of the country.

About 22 passenger were taken to three different hospitals including, Siloam, Elim and Memorial hospital. Eight passengers were killed.
