Mkhwanazi pays tribute to slain policemen

KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says police are hot on the trail of suspects who attacked two police officers in Durban last week.

He was speaking at the funeral of slain officer Captain Louis Nel in Durban.

Nel and a fellow police officer, both attached to the Crime Intelligence Unit, were ambushed in Mount Edgecombe in Durban last Thursday.

Nel died at the scene, while his partner was injured and airlifted to the hospital.
