Fadiel Adams arrives in Durban for processing

National Coloured Congress leader and MP Fadiel Adams is expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court west of Durban on Thursday in connection with charges of defeating and/or obstructing the ends of justice and fraud. It's alleged that Adams interfered with investigations into the murder of former ANC Youth League leader Sindiso Magaqa, when he met with an accused in the murder - Sibusiso Ncengwa - who had been in custody at the Westville Correctional Service. Ncengwa had subsequently confessed to the murder and was convicted and sentenced. Adams was arrested in Cape Town on Tuesday by the Political Killings Task Team and driven to KwaZulu-Natal.
