Godongwana puts Joburg on notice for transgressions

The executive mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Dada Morero will soon be meeting with Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana to discuss concerns over budgetary regulation transgressions in the city. Godongwana sent a scathing letter to Morero, outlining violation of the Municipal Financial Management Act. The letter cites potential risks in the adjustment budget, failure to address unathourised, irregular and fruitless expenditure and unsustainable salary adjustments as some of the areas of concern.
