Inside MV Hondius: Passenger makes emotional plea amid hantavirus scare #worldnow

A passenger aboard the MV Hondius recorded an emotional message from his cabin as the vessel remained off Cape Verde amid confirmed and suspected hantavirus cases. Jake Rosmarin said those on board are "not just headlines" but people with families waiting at home. The World Health Organization said seven cases had been identified, including two confirmed infections and three deaths. Other passengers and the ship's operator said the atmosphere remained generally calm as those on board isolated, wore masks and waited for medical evacuations. #worldnow
