Brian Linden: Take me home, country roads

Since first arriving in China in 1984, Brian Linden has built a bond with the country that now spans more than four decades. He has called Xizhou, a historic town in Yunnan, home for over 20 years. Drawn by Eastern culture, he arrived as an outsider but gradually became a pillar of his rural community.
Though he has traveled to more than 120 countries, Linden ultimately chose to settle in China's southwest. What inspired him to stay, and what is the China story he wants to share with the world? Follow Linden's journey as we explore his life in rural China.
