Education Minister Desmond Lee on AI deepfakes and tackling online harms in schools

Students previously involved in creating AI-generated deepfakes of their female peers were “dealt with firmly” through police investigations and school discipline, said Minister for Education Desmond Lee in parliament on Tuesday (May 5).

He outlined how schools will work with the upcoming Online Safety Commission (OSC) to support victims and remove harmful content. The OSC, set to be operational by end-June, will help address online harms more quickly. #singapore #sgnews
