Meet Jonathan Sauve, who's been living in Dali City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, for 11 years.

His daily routine?

Tai Chi. Running. Painting. Teaching local kids to have fun with colors.

At night? Jam sessions with friends by his fireplace.

His philosophy: "Dali is my giant color palette." "Drawing calms me down – just like when I was little."
