Cost of Fuel | Sharp fuel hikes add strain on consumers

Analysts warn that the increasing fuel prices will put even more pressure on already struggling consumers.

The latest round of fuel price increases kick in on Wednesday. The Mineral and Petroleum Resources Department has announced that petrol will increase by three-rand and 27 cents per litre, while diesel surges by six-rand and 19 cents per litre. Illuminating paraffin is up by four-rand and 22 cents a litre.
