Suspect remanded in custody in Hazyview kidnapping

A 28-year-old man arrested in connection with the kidnapping of three people, whose burnt remains were found in Hazyview, Mpumalanga - has been remanded in custody.

He is accused of kidnapping Khasima Mkhomazi, his son - Gift Mkhomazi, and Maqhawe Tsela.

The three were taken at a farm in Sudwala, outside Mbombela in April 2026.

The accused made a brief appearance in the Nelspruit Magistrates' Court.
