Yize: Flair and grit crucial in snooker

Wu Yize, who is bidding to become world snooker champion this weekend, recently revealed his inner thoughts to CGTN.

Wu, 10th seed at the Crucible, takes on Englishman Shaunn Murphy in the best-of-35 frame final.

The secret for Wu's mental strength?

"It's more about my playing style. When I'm in good form, I can win several frames in a row. But there are also times when I lose several in a row – it goes both ways," he said.

"At a tournament like the World Championship, you need perseverance, strong technical ability, and a good mindset. It's a combination of many factors – you have to do well in all of them to perform well."
