Bail application for Sotheni, will be heard on 18 May 2026 in the Brakpan Regional Court #sabcnews

The bail application of a man accused of the murder of whistle-blower Marius van der Merwe known as Witness D at the Madlanga Commission has been set for the 18th of May. Matipandile Sotheni a former SAPS Special Task Force member appeared briefly in the Boksburg Magistrates court in Ekurhuleni. His bail application will now be heard in the Brakpan Regional court where his case has been referred to.
