An explosive investigation reveals how Israeli spyware firms hacked into Al Jazeera devices in 2024 using a new ‘adfection’ method previously unknown to the public. The ‘zero click’ hacks can infiltrate your phone or computer simply by scrolling past an ad online.

This is why I always roll my eyes when cyber attacks on entities in the USA and Europe are always “attributed” to China, North Korea, Russia or Iran but they never blame Israel, which actually is an epicentre of cyber warfare. Many of the big name “security” products are developed in Israel or by obscure Israeli companies but big tech never publicises this. Perhaps Al Jazeera can do an extensive investigation into what big tech products are developed by/in Israel or which big tech companies have a significant presence in Israel working on “security”. It will surprise most people.
The didn't discover a vulnerability in Google Chrome, rather it was Google that facilitated these Israeli hacks on Al-Jazeera. It's so obvious at this point.
Frankly, I have myself seen pro-Israel comments in Al Jazeera's posts from accounts that only joined minutes, hours, or days ago, all with a similar writing style.
