Iran warns Trump’s mission to ‘guide’ ships out of Hormuz violates ceasefire

US President Donald Trump has announced a new naval mission, dubbed “Project Freedom”, to escort stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz in the coming hours.

The head of the Iranian parliament’s National Security Commission, Ebrahim Azizi, warns that US intervention in the waterway “will be considered a violation of the ceasefire”.
