Singapore and New Zealand have signed the Agreement on Trade in Essential Supplies to strengthen supply chain resilience, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said on Monday (May 4). Speaking at a joint press conference with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Mr Wong added that the trade is the “first agreement of its kind” for both countries and globally, and will ensure the flow of essential goods even in times of crisis and shortages.
Mr Wong also highlighted other areas of cooperation with New Zealand, including defence, education and professional exchanges. #sgnews #singapore #newzealand #newzealandnews
