Suspended Mpumalanga Commissioner Lt-Gen Daphney Semakaleng Manamela appears before Board of Inquiry

Suspended Mpumalanga Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Daphney Semakaleng Manamela appears before the Board of Inquiry on Monday.

She is accused of instructing several Mpumalanga police station commanders to use state funds to buy her furniture and appliances to the tune of 2-million rand in 2021 following her appointment. Meanwhile, the Madlanga Commission has requested Manamela to provide a detailed affidavit and evidence to support the allegations she made during an explosive media briefing held on April 19
