Indian Army Unlocks Sacred Hemkund Shrine #HemkundSahib #indianarmy

The team of the Indian Army’s 418 Independent Field Company (9 Mountain Brigade), along with sevadars of the Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara Management Trust, successfully reached the Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara complex and opened its sacred gates after offering Ardas.

The team will now stay stationed at Hemkund Sahib to continue preparations on-site.

The sacred portals are scheduled to open on May 23, 2026, with the first batch of pilgrims departing from Rishikesh on May 20, 2026.
