Cold front expected to hit Western Cape

A cold front is also expected to make landfall in the Western Cape next week, bringing heavy rain and cold conditions.

Residents are advised to stay safe and keep warm.

At the sametime, humanitarian organisation Gift of the Givers says it will be sending emergency supplies and aid from Cape Town and Gauteng to Kuruman, which has been hit by heavy floods recently.

The organisation says close to 2,000 households have been affected, with some communities completely cut off.
