Focus on preventing veld fires during traditional rituals in NW

The North West Umbrella Fire Protection Association is meeting with traditional leaders in Schweizer-Reneke to raise awareness about preventing veld fires during traditional rituals.

The organisation says candles and other open flames left unattended during rituals can spark fires, especially in dry conditions.
