Mzansi Ballet turns Michael Jackson's beat into breath

Mzansi Ballet's new work takes Michael Jackson's catalogue and turns the beat into breath, the hook into a lifeline.

Choreographed by South African prima ballerina Angela Revie with Mexican guest artist Jorge Wade, the piece moves between classical line and contemporary fracture.

The story belongs to a prima ballerina who steps into a dreamscape and finds her childhood waiting

It runs from 13 May to 7 June at the Pieter Toerien Theatre at Montecasino.
