At the Bailong Elevator inside Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the real-life inspiration for the floating mountains in the Avatar film series, a three-hour hike turns into just one minute. Built into a sheer cliff, it holds the Guinness World Record for the highest outdoor elevator. As it rises out of the rock, the peaks of Yuanjiajie Scenic Area come into view. One word says it all: "Wow."
