*Police have confirmed that they have found the missing spaza shop owner from Vosloorus east of Johannesburg, Mazwi Khubeka, alive. Khobeka presented himself at the Vosloorus police station last night. He went missing a month ago, the day he went to pay rent for his spaza shop.

*DNA tests are to be conducted to establish the identity of the partial human remains found inside a crocodile in the Komati River, Komatipoort in Mpumalanga.
Police suspect that the remains are that the 59-year-old Gauteng businessman who went missing while attempting to cross a low-laying bridge over the Komati River on Monday.

*Residents in the Sekhukhune District in Limpopo say illegal mining is continuing unabated.
Community members in areas such as Ga-Nkoana believe that little is being done by the police to curb illegal mining.
