Congress could outlaw the automated use of cameras to ticket people. Make actual people verify that someone ran a red light or was speeding before a ticket is issued. I received a ticket from a camera saying I was speeding within a 150 yards of a public school. I cannot tell from the picture that was taken where I was to know whether this was accurate. I agree that the data should be housed in state or federal level government databases that require warrants to access. Also, only government law enforcement departments should be allowed to install these flock cameras. I shouldn't be allowed as a private citizen to purchase or lease one and install it on my property where is could potential film my neighbors property. It's already an issue with cameras like Ring.

Lightpost plans on using the already existing 60 million streetlight poles in the US to install their surveillance cameras onto. The threat of their mass surveillance cameras being installed far more rapidly than even Flock is a very real danger to our freedom.

Where I live in Texas we are receiving texts, emails and phone calls saying a camera has identified us running a Stop sign or speeding or running a red light.<br><br>The heading of the emails, and texts have an official looking Texas Seal that looks very close to the official seal but there are some slight differences in some of the wording.<br><br>I called Austin DPS and was told its a scam.
