Starting a war without Congressional approval, building a ballroom and arch, and a helipad without running the costs involved past the Government Accounting Office, awarding a no-bid contract to paint the National Reflecting Pool and falsely charge people with vandalism when the shoddy work goes awry and now making clearly partisan ads with taxpayer funds and calling them "public service" ads...why wait for approval when you can just plow forward and dare somebody to stop you? That's Trump's philosophy (to the extent he has one) in a nutshell.

I think the larger question is: if this is just a campaign ad that’s two years old, why did they need to spend money on it at all? If it already existed, and all they did was write “paid for by tax dollars” at the bottom of the screen, it sounds like it’s just an excuse to make some money disappear.
