You want equality, then sign up for the draft and report!
@jacobmartinez9098
Ill tell all the women who will actually listen 1 you already have equality 2 the real problem is relationships. What i mean by that is very simple a man has been taught since he was a boy how to treat a lady how to provide and protect for a lady, hut a woman has always been taught what to expect from a man never taught how to treat a man how to keep him happy and wanting to continue loving providing and protecting you. Until that problem is fixed we're always going to have these bs discussions about fighting the patriarchy and equal rights and the dumbest one equal pay. Let's hear it 77cents on the dollar, I cant believe these people are allowed to vote

Michael Knowles for the win, but the ladies were much better debaters (more substance to their argument, less flipping out and personal attacks) than most women on this podcast series.

If these women are serious about bringing forward their version of feminism, they need to learn how to dismantle the version of feminism that Knowles was talking about. They apparently have a fear of saying, "So-and-so was wrong, and here's why". Feminists always soft pedal any differences that exist within their part of the socio-political spectrum.

The commentator was right, Knowles was taking past them and trying to get them to defend a position that they didn't proclaim. But he is right to start there, because the worst version of feminism is what we have been given. And these young women need to seriously think about the inequality that has taken root as a result. If they choose not to dismantle that version of feminism, then they will always be associated with it, fair or not.

Lol anyone with an even slight dominance of logic over emotion can see Michael pulverized them.

Is this the first time host is watching liberals debate? Michael is not arguing random made up things they aren't saying. He is citing the truth over their "feelings. They all will sit there and claim "they didn't say that" or "they don't believe that" yet Michael is targeting the contention of feminism as a whole not these women particularly. These girls are using the most common liberal debate tactic in the book, which is also utilized by manipulators and narcissists called deflection. Only a very low IQ individual or heavily biased person couldn't see through that.

It's very simple, his claims of women being happier at home are back and supported by the data. As well as his claims of women being more unhappy now on average than any other time. I don't understand how you can walk away from this exchange thinking somehow these ladies got one over on Michael or even more laughable, they "won" the debate. How could you possibly even attempt to justify such an absurd take.
@chessic4
@@chessic41 weeks ago
I’d say he won, but very narrowly. I noticed there was no mention of the fact that feminism trains women to be unhappy. It doesn’t set them free. It only pushes them out the door, only to find what they wanted turns out to be less fulfilling than they thought it would be. Feminism actually instructs women, sells them a mindset with core beliefs, and even pressures them to believe, for example, that children hold them back, marriage traps them into slavery, and their dreams should be to achieve success in employment and independence. So it’s no wonder they might score lower on unhappiness with children. That’s what they been taught to believe. It’s the effect of feminism, not the cause.
@thomasdangerpowers
Woman = singular, women = plural. I don't listen to anyone who doesn't understand the difference. That is a pretty woman walking down the street not that is a pretty women is walking down the street.

My personal opinion is quite simple.
Everyone should be allowed to do what they want, as long as it doesn't harm anyone.

Whether that results in many or few women working, I don't know, and it doesn't matter either. What matters is that everyone can do what they want, because that is the foundation for being happy.

In the second step, you can then remove the obstacles that stand in the way of people’s different life paths. Scandinavia was mentioned here as an example of the happiest people. In Sweden, childcare costs a maximum of $150 per month. There are 480 days of paid parental leave. And in addition, the government provides $120 in child benefits until the child turns 16. After that, there is a college grant and tuition-free university education. Health insurance is also funded by taxes. So there are plenty of reasons to be happy there.

I'm a man. I got divorced and was the primary custodial parent of 3 small children. Thank goodness I didn't screw them up too bad. As a single parent and a man, I could deal with a whole lot of the logistics of parenting. I could make sure my children were taken care of, had food, shelter, were able to grow as kids and then on into teens and adults. But I know I was not as nurturing as some women might be. Men are not as emotional as women and I think kids need both sides of that equation to get a well rounded view of what life should be.

Knowles didn't ask the question of what feminism was. The host did. The women answered the question and so did Michael. Not a single one of them had the same definition. And trying to argue with their definitions is a meaningless exercise. There are too many terms being thrown around which they don't have set definitions for. "Equality between men and women" for example. What is "Equality"? Equality in what? What does that look like? So coming out with a quote from Gloria Steinem was a perfect answer to the original question since it actually got to the heart of what Feminism really is. It isn't about equality between men and women. It is about Women being empowered, being dominant, living their own lives, not sharing with a man.
@BrianMitchell-y5t
Lastly, I hope these women get exactly what they're asking for!!!

Here is an unpopular idea to address the happiness issue. We thrive when we struggle. Everything has become so easy (dishwashers, washing machines, etc) that people have far too much time to complain and be unhappy, rather than taking pride in doing good and difficult things.

@Gandalf98
@@Gandalf981 weeks ago
What is missing in this discussion are women 30+ years old. It would have helped round out the points made if some of the consequences of feminism could be given a voice by older women. One of the consequences of feminism is women's increasing unhappiness. Yes, despite ClashIQ's point that the authors of that story did not say what the cause of women's unhappiness was, older female feminists TODAY are telling us that feminism is the precise cause of their unhappiness. It is absolutely heartbreaking. They are asking, "Where are all the men?" The attendees at arranged singles events are women--the men they would like to have met are not there. One incredibly educated, intelligent, and successful former feminist said, "Feminism ruined my love life." ClashIQ would be right to point out that these are just a few individual women but these are highly talented and successful women whom feminism so celebrated. If readers of the comment section who actually grieve the loss of happiness of so many women want to help these younger women, please look into the ones I've already mentioned and also see Sue Ellen Browder's videos on her days as a writer in Cosmopolitan magazine. Please see women as human beings rather than feminists.
@Gandalf98
@@Gandalf981 weeks ago
ClashIQ: Knowles is correct about most women's preferences. "The Gallup Data: Public opinion data from past surveys shows that many working mothers feel torn between career demands and homemaking, with roughly 54% preferring to be full-time caregivers." So, it is not just Simone De Beauvois' view.
@Gandalf98
@@Gandalf981 weeks ago
The women quote the dictionary definition of feminism (basically equality) which feminism, in practice, ignores. Knowles uses a more accurate definintion because 1. it comes from a recognized modern founder/proponent of feminism, and 2. it is operationally true--feminism simply holds men in contempt.
