The Cost of Being First - Sarah Jakes Roberts

God calls some of us to be first. But at what cost?

Sarah Jakes Roberts unpacks Jesus’ warning to Peter: “Satan wants to sift you.” He wants to shake your identity, your insecurities, and your purpose until you forget who you are. The point is deception. If the enemy shakes you violently enough, you won’t remember what God has called you to be.

But here’s what Jesus prayed for: not that Peter wouldn’t be sifted, but for Peter's faith. And that’s the turning point. Most of us have placed our faith in ourselves instead of God. And if that’s the case, then when we fail, our faith fails with it. We’re devastated because we put all our hope in our own capacity.

Jesus is calling us to move our faith FROM ourselves TO Him. Because He’s praying for you right now. What breaks when your faith in yourself breaks? Watch to discover how you should replace it.
