⚠️ Iran can continue exporting some oil despite the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz because it has alternative transportation routes. Its Goreh–Jask pipeline carries crude oil across southern Iran to the port of Jask on the Gulf of Oman, outside the strait, where tankers can load it. Iran has also explored transporting oil by rail through Central Asia toward China, although trains carry far less oil than tankers. Additional options include transporting smaller quantities by truck across land borders and using offshore oil storage and alternative shipping arrangements.
