I’ve been to Jacksonville a few times with my family growing up. There may not be a lot of crime there, but just as here in the city I live in, both seem to have an increase in crime over time.

Crazy how ppl would rather spend their life in prison than control their emotions.

Murdering an innocent girl because you don’t want to lose your job… at the bonefish grille… What a loser this guy is.

I think if anyone ever finds themself in a situation where your in a potential to ruin someone's life or destroy their life they have going, don't ever confront them alone. Because you never know what's going to happen.

As a Mexican man, I'm so embarrassed by my fellow men. My entire life, fellow Mexican men have embarrassed me. And it's American Mexican men.

Stand your ground? Please. He's double the size of her and a strong dude. Can you see those claw marks on his wrists and forearms? That's where she's clawing at him to get his hands off from around her neck. Not going to fly dude.

Imagine having your daughter delay university so she can be with you during cancer treatments, and then she's murdered.

RIP sweet girl. I can’t imagine that pain of losing someone in that manner. My condolences to her family and friends.

Side note—did anyone see that giant bird nest and the bird just chillin on top of that huge electrical pole thing? That was cute.

The investigator was irrationally optimistic to wish she could be alive. Savannah had a neck injury and should have passed out if she wasn't dead yet, and then burned for probably more than 2 hours since he spent time watching Netflix, and then he dumped her into a pond... had to take some divine intervention for her to still be alive by the time she was found.

So sad that a job that probably doesn’t even pay much is worth more than a human life. We need to make sure our kids are taught to manage their emotions better.

The area where she was kidnapped is very quiet and respectable; there had never been any trouble in the neighborhood before. It happened in broad daylight, and although many people witnessed what was happening to her, no one dared to intervene; she was left to her fate. Even though many later spoke about what they had seen, absolutely no one helped her. Shame on everyone who should have helped her but did nothing to save her.

I find it extra tragic that her brother saw the two cars, that was such a small window of time, and savannah was most likely in the car at the time.
