SAS Amatola returns after strategic Indian Ocean deployment

The SAS Amatola is returning to Simon's Town Naval Base on Saturday, following one of the South African Navy's most significant long-range deployments in recent years.

The mission spans the Indian Ocean region, combining operational readiness with strategic maritime engagement and naval diplomacy, including port visits in India, Kenya and Tanzania.
