God, I hate Reddit. They downvoted the guy that created the platform they use when he made a reasonable comment. The reply to his comment insinuates he's insane. Granted, that may be the case, but he had a measured response to being ousted from what he built and managed for decades.

@FamilyManMoving
That self-written severance agreement won't hold up, and frankly was the dumbest idea they could have had. Other than try to 'fire' the guy who controls 84% of voting shares.

Any decent law firm will use the severance agreement written within hours of taking leadership, as evidence of bad faith intentions. God help them if they built the severance plan before the board voted...and failed to tell the board before the vote. "Dumb" gets the upgrade to "fraud", fast.

Honestly, itโ€™s his company. F*ck โ€™em :-)

Also, if a board puts a termination or severance clause in place shortly before it expects to be removed, and that clause specifically benefits the current board members, that can raise serious conflict-of-interest, self-dealing, and breach-of-fiduciary-duty concerns. It's acting in bad faith of company interests, and pretty easily provable.

There is nothing more infuriating than some people you trusted push you out of your own company. I'm writing this assuming that Matt is an "ok" guy who got backstabbed by a bunch of lunatics. Replacing the entire board, I get. Whey not keep the miserable CEO and keep him miserable for the rest of the year. It felt like they wanted to do damage or steal from the guy. There were better ways to Uno reverse this with 80% voting rights. If Matt is not a good guy and making his employees miserable, then $%^& him.
